What are the reasons to enroll my child in Summer Programs?
Many students look forward to summer as a time to be OUT of school. Meaning summer learning can often be dreaded or viewed as a continuation of your child’s school. This could not be more wrong! (At least for for Novel’s Summer Programs 2022!)
The reason we offer these programs and encourage our students to signup for them are because there are MANY benefits to continued summer learning. Yes, academically your students can gain accreditation, get ahead/catch up, or learn more about their favorite subject; but there are debatably many more social, emotional, cognitive and developmental benefits to these programs that schools could never teach or promote.
Our summer students are discovering lifelong passions, gaining independence, enjoying off-screen play, and learning how to be a cooperative teammate! They are practicing resilience, forming emotional connections, building their self-esteem, and hopefully a sense of purpose.
With our diverse team of teachers and small class sizes, your child will feel safe to grow, safe to be challenged and safe to connect with new friends of all backgrounds, differences and lifestyles(and learn how to respect and work with these diversities).
We understand that parents may be looking for academic summer options for their kids, which is exactly why we offer a VAST list of accredited courses with our Summer Courses. What makes these courses so unique is:
1. Students will gain actual school credit in 6 or 12 weeks
2. Students can pursue an specific interest or passion
3. Programs are available for continued registration anytime from now until July
