Summer Camp 2022
Join us for our first ever in-person Summer Camp offered in 2 locations! Experience Novel Education’s years of curriculum design and innovative lessons with our all new 2-week summer camp for children ages 4-6. Time will fly for your kids during our 3-hour educational play session that will incorporate reading, illustration, science experiments and movement to music with our new Zumbini partnership!
In this summer camp for kids, we’ve condensed our most popular Enrichment Programs, Reading and Illustration and Mystery Science, into 2 weeks of activities that will keep your child engaged and learning! With our Zumbini licensed teachers, students will engage in 1 hour of singing, dancing, and fun, all while promoting cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skills. Join us in Culver City at Child’s Pose, or in South Redondo Beach at MESH Space*!
*MESH Space offers an optional 4th hour of play from 12-1pm, where children can purchase a snack or bring their own lunch for an hour of fun and play after their classes!

Reading & Illustration
Reading & Illustration
Your creative learner will learn how to engage in the beginning facets of the reading process and apply that literacy power to their own text. While reading their favorite stories, they will practice everything from identifying and decoding words to exploring the author, illustrator, and different characters! Following each storytelling session, students will get the chance to try practicing the different types of illustrations used to tell each story themselves. At the end of the summer camp, your learner will write and illustrate their own book using their favorite illustration style and new writing skills learned!
Mystery Science
Mystery Science
Calling all scientists! During this session, your child will engage in safe and easy experiments to become familiar with the scientific process and learn how to properly conduct an experiment! Students will be doing activities such as creating their own invisible ink, collecting fingerprints, and learning about properties of solids and liquids by reading “Bartholomew and the Oobleck” by Dr. Seuss. The camp will conclude with students making their very own oobleck! Throughout each activity, students will learn how to take notes in their detective notebooks, make observations and draw conclusions.
Zumbini
Zumbini
Created by Zumba and BabyFirst, Zumbini is a music and movement program designed for young learners. Zumbini utilizes fun, original music to create 60 minutes of singing, dancing, and fun, all while promoting cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skill development for the children.
Our teachers are licensed Zumbini instructors trained in creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans, which includes a variety of songs and activities for mixed ages, early childhood movement and music class. Each session focuses on teaching through play, following evidence-based research and recommendations.

Our Summer Camp educators are closely vetted experts in their respective fields with high academic achievements, professional experience, and a passion for education. Our diverse team of educators have been working closely with students via Zoom for years and we’re excited to be able to bring our virtual classroom to life.
